Tips for running it well
Points per game
Most Americanos play each game to a fixed total — 16, 21, 24 or 32 points — so every court finishes together. The preset ranks players on the points they personally scored.
Perfect rotations
With 8, 12, 16 or 20 players everyone partners everyone once and faces everyone exactly twice. 8 players on 2 courts is the classic: 7 rounds.
Odd numbers
With 9 or 10 players, one or two rest each round, in turn, never twice in a row when it can be avoided.
Mexicano
Want closer games? Mexicano pairs each round from the live table: 1st + 4th v 2nd + 3rd on every court.

How many rounds is an Americano?
One full cycle: 7 rounds for 8 players, 11 for 12. Short sessions often play 5 or 6.
Can I run a mixed Americano?
Yes — turn on mixed doubles and enter two lists. Every pair has one player from each.
