Group stage and playoffs generator
Round-robin groups give everyone several matches; the best advance to a knockout for the title. The World Cup format, for your Saturday.
Balanced groups
Seeds are distributed “snake” style — 1 and 4 in Group A, 2 and 3 in Group B, and so on — so no group is stacked.
Cross-seeded playoffs
Group winners meet runners-up from other groups in the first knockout round (A1 v B2, B1 v A2), so teams from the same group don’t meet again straight away.
Tied groups
Tie-breakers decide positions automatically. If two teams are level on everything, they’re ordered by seed and flagged — and you can set the order manually after a coin toss or play-off.
Late corrections
If a group score is corrected after the playoffs start and it changes who qualified, you’ll be told which playoff matches are affected before anything is cleared.

FAQ
How many groups should I use?
Groups of 4 are the sweet spot: 3 matches each, quick to finish. 16 teams → 4 groups of 4, top 2 advance to quarterfinals.
Can uneven groups work?
Yes. With 14 teams in 4 groups you’ll get groups of 3 and 4; the smaller groups have a bye each round.
When do playoff matchups appear?
As soon as a group finishes, its qualifiers drop into the bracket.
